I am involved in my own start-up Plus10.ie, providing business class voice and data to the Irish midlands. The project is equal amounts of annoyance, difficulty, frustration and reward. What bugs me most is the slow pace of business generally around here. People work hard, no doubt about that, but when it comes to technology they don’t necessarily work smart. But then again, coming from a near monopoly telecomms infrastructure they just don’t realise how much they have missed out on.
It’s a niche market but it’s coming together and I live in hope and anticipation of the big breakthrough

My working life until recently was spent abroad – Luxembourg for five years, followed by sixteen in New York. All of it was related to Information Technology in financial institutions which in tech terms translates to database and communications. It helps too that I know my debits from my credits!
But I’m home for good now and want to use whatever experience I have to bring the benefits of the business web to those who are under-served in the market place. I’m in a good place, and happy to be home for good.
